Fresh pet grass is an easy way to provide additional fiber and nutrients in your pet’s daily routine. Outdoor grass may be exposed to lawn chemicals, pesticides, or other contaminants, making homegrown grass a cleaner and safer alternative. Approximately 800 seeds per ounce.

Growing Instructions

An easy instruction guide is included with every purchase. Measure out only the amount you plan to sprout immediately. Soak 1/3 cup of seeds in room-temperature water for 6–8 hours before planting.

While the seeds soak, prepare a shallow seed tray with coconut coir or fertilizer-free potting soil. Avoid growing media containing synthetic fertilizers or additives. After soaking, rinse the seeds thoroughly and spread them evenly across the surface of the soil in a single layer. Do not bury the seeds under soil.

Cover the tray with another tray or lid to keep the seeds in darkness during germination. Once sprouts appear, uncover the tray and place it in a bright sunny window or another well-lit location. Keep the soil evenly moist throughout the growing process and do not allow it to dry out completely. If mold develops, lightly spray the affected area with diluted hydrogen peroxide.

Feeding Suggestions

After the grass has grown several inches tall, place the tray somewhere your pets can easily reach it. Some animals may need time before they begin chewing the grass regularly. Continue providing sunlight and water while they adjust to it. The grass can also be harvested, rinsed, and juiced for wheatgrass use if desired.
